I’m so glad I found out about this place! I had a problem with my Highlander and they took care of it and had me in and out in a very short time. Rick was extremely helpful and polite. I has a tire sensor that need to be replaced and they squeezed me in and got it changed in 30 minutes or less. The were very professional and I also noticed the shop was a clean shop and not parts stacked up in the corners. Some people might not understand why or what a clean shop has to do with anything, well that should tell you that they have pride in what they do along with quality of work they do.. Their pricing was very fair. I asked how much it was to do a couple of different things to the vehicle and Rick never got upset and was very patient. Plus they were a lot cheaper then the dealership. I could go on and on about this place and my experience but I’m trying to make it short. Another thing is the warranty there parts for 3 years or like 35,000 miles. I’m not accurate on the mileage,but that should tell you how good of a shop it is right there. Nobody wants to do a job and have to redo it because of not doing it correctly or rushing it or using cheap parts, just to send you down the road. I have owned my Owen company for over 33 years so I pay attention to the fine details of what’s going on when I go to a business to get work done. I’ll stop rambling on. The young lady that works in the office was very nice also. By the way I also noticed how organized they were on the way they prep a job. I would like to thank you guys for the honesty and the good work you did even though it was only a tire sensor.so with that I will be using you guys to do all my service work on my Toyota Highlander and my Toyota truck when I buy it in the next month or so. I still haven’t found the one I want. Lol once again, thank you.

Excellent Service and Warranty Support A few months ago we had a fantastic experience with Duanes Dealer Alternative. In April Duanes completed some work on our Toyota Prius , several months later an issue popped up that was covered under their warranty. The vehicle was towed to their shop and they handled everything quickly and professionally. What impressed me most was how they stood by their warranty—there were no arguments or pushback. They simply diagnosed the problem , realized it was the warrantied part that had failed then replaced the parts without any hassle or extra charges. The staff was courteous, honest, and made the entire process stress-free. It’s rare these days to find a business that truly honors their word, but this company absolutely does. Duane’s is top notch. They recently helped me with two of our Toyotas and went above and beyond in all they did. Susan, Rick, Duane & Ryan all were very friendly, professional and a pleasure to do business with. They’re not the cheapest guy in town, but they don’t claim to be. A Lifesaver for a Snowbird! As a snowbird who just drove all the way down to Florida, the last thing I needed was for my car’s AC to quit on me the day I arrived. Trustworthy, is the one word I would use to describe Duane’s. After receiving a coupon in the mail, I took a deep dive into the reviews and saw they had an amazing track record. It also helped that they had experience with Lexus vehicles. I was able to schedule an oil change with ease and was pleasantly surprised that they offered shuttle services within the area. The communication, was better than expected. I received very professional text messages and phone calls that set clear expectations about the next steps and service recommendations. When I shared I was on a budget, they didn’t pressure me, but made recommendations based on the high and low priority items. As a woman, my experience with Duane’s has been so easy and straightforward that even after moving, I have intentionally scheduled maintenance to aligned with my plans when I come back in town. Staff is friendly, great customer service! I spoke to Rick about a humming sound on my Toyota SUV. He scheduled an appointment same afternoon at 1pm. I dropped off my vehicle and he called me with a quote in less than an hour. The repair job was completed by 4pm same day. A friend referred me awhile back for a different concern and they were honest about my immediate needs (compared to a dealer quote) and consistently provide great service!

I love the place!!! I looked for an honest dependable mechanic for years and found it here. Keith has worked with me multiple times and has always helped ensure I got everything I needed done to my car. They get you in and out quickly. Rick was able to get our Forester in quickly for repair. I knew I had suspension problems, but after a thorough review the repair was quite extensive, but much needed. Rick provided a detailed list and costs for repair. Once I approved our vehicle was completed in the next day. After pretty much a new suspension system installed we were relieved how much better the vehicle rides and handles. Thanks for all repairs, quickly completed in professional manner.

I brought my 2012 Camaro. DUANES were able to fix the issues that I had complained about, including one that had been brought to several shops, and nobody realized it was the ball bearing. Now my car rides beautifully, thank you!! Very happy customer. Update: I purchased a 2021 Jaguar F-Fype V8! Of course, I brought my new baby to Duanes for a pre-purchase inspection and it’s in excellent condition! The only issue was an alignment and one of the remotes needed a battery, which Rick kindly replaced, thanks Rick! I will not bring my car anywhere else! Thank you! Racine 😊

I do not do reviews…but I had to share that my experience with this dealership was phenomenal! They were considerably less expensive than what my former dealership mechanic cost was. The customer service was impeccable and even left me a thank you card and a gift bag in my car. When my husband went to pick up my car, he was so impressed with how clean the garage was and said “you could eat lunch off their floor.” It says a lot about this business! I’ve found my go to mechanics, because this dealership alternative is SO MUCH BETTER! Thank you!

Highly recommend Duane’s Auto. I recently made an appointment for an oil change. They explained the importance of regular maintenance to keep my car running smoothly and efficiently for extended life. Also still had my original tires which were now cracking so replaced them as well. They explain everything with clarity and transparency. Easy to schedule and everything was completed on time. Even after 2 hurricanes they stayed open late and came in early to help the community. Everything went extremely smooth and my truck is running flawlessly. Cannot recommend them enough!

I had an issue with my brakes and needed pretty quick attention for obvious reasons. I usually go to another local mechanic but they were booked out a full week and a half and were unable to fit me in at all even though K was a repeat customer. I called Duane’s based on glowing local recommendations, got into the shop the next morning, and had a great experience the entire time. Quick updates and fair estimates. Quality and quick work. Great customer service. I will be switching over for regular maintenance going forward. Strongly recommend.

I recently needed my AC repaired and decided to finally check out Duane’s shop. Being as it was my first visit to the shop, I can’t say much about the service except that I am very satisfied. What impressed me the most about the shop was the communication and friendliness of the staff. They were very thorough with the diagnostic process and my AC is good to go. I had a coupon and I was able to save some money on the services, but I think overall Duane’s prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Duane’s shop.

I have known Duane for more than 25 years, I knew him when he was a master mechanic working for Lexus. He treats customers with respect for their time and shares his thoughts and expertise. He’s never high-pressure. His prices are much cheaper than a dealer with first rate service. He’s faster than any dealer he follows up with, a calculated estimate completes the work on time he provides great expertise at a bargain price . We just had our first visit with our Titan. This is a professional business that runs like a well oiled machine. From start to finish it was seamless. They took their time to listen to our concerns. Didn’t charge for issued problems that they didn’t see. They now have our business with both vehicles. We’ve already made an appointment for our other vehicles needs. They get an A+ from the Frost family!

Three weeks ago we needed to have our ABS module pump replaced. That was an expensive part and Duane’s was able to do the work for a very fair price. We also had an oil change and brakes done. The car drives like new. Today we had an alignment done following purchasing tires at Sam’s Club. We really appreciate Rick and the team at Duane’s, thanks.

Friendly staff along with keeping you in the loop of communication with what’s going in with your vehicle. Plus they provide a 5 mile radius shuttle. Go see them for your vehicle issues.

Personable and professional. The entire place is clean and neat. They did a 20-point inspection and discovered that my air filter hadn’t been changed in 4 years and was incorrectly installed! Gaaah! Gave me estimate before doing the work (one hour to replace defective radio head unit.) The place I had been going to estimated 2-3 hours = $300-500 to install…and that’s how I found Duane’s Dealer Alternative! Keepers 😃👍 .

Very professional auto mechanic shop. I felt like I was welcome to be there and comfortable to leave my vehicle with Rick and his crew to have the repair done correctly. Oh Duane’s Dealer Alternative, how I love you! I needed some routine 100K mile maintenance on my 4-Runner and was quoted a price well below the competition. Once it was in, they performed the routine inspection and told me I needed rear brakes. I already suspected this and was dreading how much it would be. Once again, Duane’s came in with another reasonable quote! The work was done flawlessly and in a timely manner. When I left, I felt that I had gotten a level of honest and personalized service that I hadn’t received from an auto repair shop in years. I will definitely be back!!

We done down from NJ to FL and somewhere along the trip the AC in our car went out. A 2016 Chevy Equinox. Duane’s Dealer Alternative diagnosed the problem quickly and got the AC repaired in just a couple of days. Much faster then anticipated. The price was fair, the service excellent and very friendly. I would recommend this place to the family I actually like.

I’ve gone to Duane’s a few times over the last 6 months and they always do a great job identifying the problems with the vehicle, they make recommendations but don’t push anything, and are very clear in their communication. Rick does a great job everytime I call with a problem to get me in and fix it in the same day. Going to these guys for all my car work in the future.

The best service I’ve recieved at a mechanic shop. First, customer service is great, they spoke very clearly and they know what they’re talking about. Prices are fair and worth it for the quality of work and cleanliness of the shop. Rick helped me on the phone and in the office and got me an appointment the same day, service was done within 1.5hrs from me dropping the car off (alignment, brake and powersteering service). Susan was able to go over any details I had questions for about the services and I’ll be more than happy to come back for maintenance again. Thank you!

I took my 2011 Volvo in for front brakes and rotors. They ordered parts and completed work the next morning , at a very fair price. They called the following day to make sure I was satisfied with the work. The shop is very professionally run, technicians well trained, personnel friendly, honest, and trustworthy.

Recently I had the motor and transmission mounts replaced Duane’s Dealer Alternative and was extremely happy that I chose his shop. The first impression was that the shop was clean, bright, organized and looked very professional. Usually if a shop looks professional it like is professional. The first impression was right — I was greeted by the owner, he was very friendly and fully knowledgeable of the chronic problem areas of a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The issues were quickly verified and surprisingly the estimate was 1/2 the price of the local Jeep dealer. Unlike the Jeep dealer, the repairs were also completed the same day, and other common Jeep Grand Cherokee mechanical issues were discussed. Fortunately none of them were required at that time, but when that time does come I have found the perfect repair shop to handle them.

Our van smelled like oil burning and needed it fixed quickly before taking trip to Northern Georgia. Duane’s diagnosed problem in a few hours and had all repairs completed within one day. Drove van to Georgia with no problems. Highly recommended Duane’s. I am now a loyal customer.

Recently moved down from NY to the area and needed a place that would really treat my Lexus IS 350 as if it were their own. My car is in great hands when I bring it here. First time here… I followed mechanic Ryan from his previous shop & I can see why he made the change. Excellent experience here with the staff in every way… courteous, professional customer service & efficiency and a clean & comfortable waiting room. Ryan is not only highly skilled & knowledgeable, but honest. He not only did the job we discussed, but as a kindness he also made sure my bumper was secured at no extra charge until I got to the body shop. We’ve been looking for an honest, professional, clean source for our family cars and keep running into those who upsell and disappoint. Duane’s is our new shop without hesitation. Can’t believe it took us this long to find them. Rick and Susan were FANTASTIC from making my appointment to keeping me informed. Service was completed competently, timely, and my truck was returned without smudges and dirt experienced elsewhere. Duane’s is amazing throughout the entire process. The estimate was quick and efficient. The office walked me through the work that was suggested. When I called later in the afternoon to schedule the appointment for the work, they got me in at my convenience. Once the work was complete, Susan was asked me through each of the repairs and actually grabbed parts from the garage to demonstrate what was done. You’ve got a customer for life! These guys are great. Rick is so very helpful at the desk. They get the work done quickly, repairs are done right and you are kept aware of everything going on. Much better experience than waiting at the dealer. Never have to wait for an appt.

My experience was top rate the staff are courteous and knowledgeable. The diagnosis and the repairs were completed in a timely fashion. A courtesy follow up the next day. I am not from the area, but was recommended by a friend who spoke highly of the facility.

I recently moved to Safety Harbor and needed a local trustworthy mechanic. Previous owner of my home recommended Duane’s Dealer Alternative. Even though they advertise as experts for Toyota, I took my 2018 Ford Explorer for service. They took care of some fluid changes and my Explorer is running much better now. I will continue to use them for service for both my Explorer and Expedition. Susan was very courteous and helpful. Duane’s team is very professional and does great work. We live 25 minutes away in St Pete but we travel all the way to Safety Harbor to get serviced with Ryan. He always gives us exceptional service and goes above and beyond for us every single time. We trust him completely with our cars because he is extremely knowledgeable, efficient, straight forward, professional and most importantly, honest. This was our first time going to Duane’s Dealer Alternative and we were immediately greeted by Susan who was very informative and hospitable! Both her and Rick were very warm and welcoming towards everyone who entered the shop as well as over the phone. They were extremely patient and went above and beyond handling all customers concerns from what I’ve witnessed sitting in the waiting area. We got an oil change for my car and it did not take any longer than 30 minutes. Ryan even took the time to clean out my AC tube that was clogged. Rick took great care of us when checking out. It was an overall pleasant experience and we will definitely be back since Ryan is our go-to mechanic.

This is the first time I have used Duane’s. I needed to get my car serviced on short notice since I was taking a trip and had forgotten I wanted to have it looked at before leaving. They were so accommodating and got me in within two days. It’s a small, but clean and friendly office for waiting. They serve coffee and had complimentary water, which I especially appreciated since I had walked around the area instead of waiting the whole time in the office. It was an especially hot day so it was a treat. It was also nice that there are sidewalks around their business. They needed to replace the windshield wipers, which I had forgotten to mention, so I appreciate that they found the problem on their own. I highly recommend Duane’s for their friendly, expert service.

They are really amazing. And fast too. They keep you updated with every step. I took my car in with AC issues. They called me to let me know that my AC was still under warranty with the dealership and the couldn’t with a clear conscious do the repair and I should take it to the dealership. I love the honesty. You don’t get that so much anymore. I would recommend them to everyone I know. I will definitely be coming back to them.
